Mayor Thapa announces support for Blood Cancer Trust

Palpa, August 11: Rampur municipality’s Mayor, Raman Bahadur Thapa, on Thursday announced personal donation for the establishment of Ashish Child Support Blood Cancer Trust.

The announcement comes in the wake of the death of seven – year – old Ashish Shrestha of Bejhang Bazaar of Rampur municipality – 5 from blood cancer one and a half months ago.

The mayor announced a personal donation of Rs 100,000 for establishment of the trust to commemorate the boy’s death.

Thapa said the money collected in the trust will be used in the treatment of poor and hapless children under the aegis of the Rampur Hospital. The trust was established with an aim that children from the poverty – stricken families are not deprived of treatment on financial ground.

“
