Over 200 of a same village taken ill due to unknown disease

Rukum, Aug 17: More than 200 locals from a same village in Khadi of Aathbiskot Municipality-3 in Rukum district have fallen sick over a week due to an unidentified disease.
All of them have been down with the ailment that has more or less similar sort of symptoms including headache, abdominal ache, and vomiting and limb pain among others.
Kalpana Budhathoki, a local, shared that condition of those fallen ill is critical. Much to their dismay, the local health posts lacks medicines, according to Budhathoki.

Two healthcare providers equipped with medicines have already been dispatched from the Aathbiskot-based health institution as the number of patients is growing in the locality with each passing days, said Municipality Mayor Gorkha Bahadur KC.
Chief KC is frightful that if preventive measures are not taken timely, there might take an epidemic turn.
The healthcare providers’ team is expected to reach Khadi by this evening. RSS
