Dahal vows to attend meetings of parliament, House panel regularly

 Dec 26, 2018. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he will regularly attend the meetings of federal parliament and house committees from now onward. 

 

Attending the meeting of house committee for the first time on Wednesday, Dahal said, “Voice has been raised in the party that the leaders should attend the meetings of parliament and house committees regularly. I will attend the meetings regularly from now onwards.”

Chairman Dahal is a member of the State Affairs Committee of the parliament. The secretariat said that he attended the 38th meeting of the committee today. 

The meeting discussed ordinance on Integration of Civil Servants. During the discussion, Dahal said that the ordinance on civil servants should be continued from where it was stopped. He stressed that the replacement bill regarding the civil servants should amend the weaknesses. 

Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has never attended the meeting. 

According to Parliament Secretariat, Deuba is the only lawmaker who has not attended the meeting even once. Deuba is a member of the Development Committee of the Parliament.
