Mother, employee at Company Registrar Office, daughter arrested on corruption charges – Capital

Jan 15, 2019. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has arrested two persons including an Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Company Registrar, for seeking bribe from a service seeker on Monday. 

According to a statement released by the CIAA, Assistant Registrar Gita Kumari Panthi and her daughter Poshan Panthi were arrested on charges of corruption. Gita Kumari had sought Rs 100,000 as bribe from a service seeker to settle the due revenue amount owed by a school registered at the Tripureshwor-based Office of the Company Registrar.
