Japan provides emergency assistance to Nepal

Kathmandu, Aug 22: Upon the request of the Government of Nepal, Japan has decided to provide emergency relief goods such as blankets, plastic sheets, sleeping pads, tents and water tanks to Nepal in response to the damages incurred from the floods caused by the heavy rainfall since August 11 around southern areas of the country.
Immediately after the arrival of the relief goods at Tribhuvan International Airport, the JICA will hand over them to the Government of Nepal.


“”Upon the request of the Government of Nepal, and in light of the friendly relations between Japan and Nepal, Japan decided to provide emergency assistance to Nepal to meet its humanitarian needs,”” the Embassy of Japan said today. RSS
